For the Cookie:
1 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp baking soda
4 tsp baking powder
4 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
Combine butter and sugar and mix until creamy. Add eggs, sour cream and almond extract. Mix again on medium speed. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and blend again until smooth (the dough will feel a bit sticky). Refrigerate for at least an hour. Roll dough out on a floured surface and cut with cookie cutters into desired shapes. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Let cool and frost!
For the Frosting
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup butter, softened
3 tbsp milk
1 tsp almond extract
food coloring
Beat well with electric mixer until smooth.
